ABC Family's Smash Hit "THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER" Returns For A Second Season Beginning Monday, June 22, At 8:00PM ET/PT

Sophomore Season Set to Return with 12 New Episodes

ABC Family's hit series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" returns with 12 all-new episodes beginning Monday, June 22, (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT). The network will air a special "Secret Life" marathon (nine episodes) leading up to the premiere, Monday, June 22, from 11:00 AM ET/PT - 8:00 PM ET/PT.

In the season opener, "The Big One," Anne is dealing with the surprising news of her own pregnancy, while Amy is slowly adjusting to motherhood and a new life filled with midnight feedings and diaper changes. Meanwhile, Grace and Jack renew their relationship, Ben struggles to find his place with Amy now that Ricky has actively taken on the role of father, and an unexpected tragedy for one of the teens changes everything.
 
The series cast includes Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park and Greg Finley. Alice Hirson, Phillip Anthony-Rodriguez, Paola Turbay, Ben Weber, Allen Evangelista, Amy Rider, Luke Zimmerman and Steve Schirripa also guest star. Special guest stars include Jennifer Coolidge and Josie Bissett. Created and executive produced by Brenda Hampton ("7th Heaven").

ABC Family's breakout hit, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," the network's No. 1 original series of all time in Total Viewers (4.0 million) and all key demos, ranked as cable's No. 1 scripted series during its first season in Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34, and TV's No. 1 show in Female Teens, ahead of Fox's "American Idol." Moreover, "Secret Life's" Season One finale on March 23, 2009 became ABC Family's No. 1 original series telecast on record in Total Viewers (5.1 million) and the net's No. 1 telecast of all time in core Females 12-34 demo. In fact, in Females 12-34, "Secret Life accounted for cable's Top 10 scripted telecasts in 1Q09. The series also won the network's first Teen Choice Award for "Choice Summer TV Show" in 2008, and most recently was honored with a Gracie Award for 'Outstanding Drama'.
