CNBC To Broadcast Live Special "CNBC GLOBAL SUMMIT: THE WORLD'S FINANCIAL FUTURE" Tonight, Wednesday, June 23rd At 8PM ET
Tonight at 8PM ET, CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, will broadcast a live special "CNBC Global Summit: The World's Financial Future"-the first-ever live show from the floor of the UN General Assembly.
Hosted by CNBC's Erin Burnett, the special will bring together world business leaders to provide insight on topics such as the future of oil; whether BRIC nations can still be the growth engines they once were and continue to lead the way; and what CEOs think is a critical factor to the future success of their companies.
The keynote guest for the program is UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Other guests include: Jamshed Irani, Director of Tata Sons, the holding company for Tata Group-India's $71B conglomerate; Andrei Galaev, CEO of Sakhalin Energy-a consortium of Royal Dutch Shell, Gazprom and Japan's Mitsui and Mitsubishi; Martha Tilaar, The Martha Tilaar Company-Indonesia's largest makeup company; and Antonio De Abreau, CEO of EDP Brazil-a unit of Portugal's largest power company.
In addition, CNBC is the official broadcast partner of the "UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2010" (HTTP://WWW.LEADERSSUMMIT2010.ORG), which gathers more than 1200 business leaders and politicians from more than 100 countries to elevate the role of responsible business and investment in bringing about the needed transformation to more sustainable and inclusive markets.
