Cartoon Network Picks Up Additional Episodes of DUDE, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN

Original Series Currently Ranks #1 in its Timeslot on All television-Broadcast and Cable-Among Boys 6-11

Cartoon Network announced it has picked up ten additional episodes of the live-action alternative series Dude, What Would Happen. Since its Aug. 19 premiere at 8:30 p.m., the series that features three adventurous teens conducting extreme experiments that lead to outrageous results, has ranked #1 in its timeslot on all television-broadcast and cable-among boys 6-11, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Dude, What Would Happen also has continued to earn double and triple-digit ratings and delivery growth on Wednesday night among key kids and boys demos compared to the same time period in 2008. To date, average kids 9-14 ratings have increased by 75% and delivery by 85%. Boys 9-14 ratings have grown by 125% and delivery by 126%. Similar results have been achieved among kids 6-11, with average ratings improving by 44% and delivery by 48%. Each subsequent telecast of Dude, What Would Happen has attracted more boys 6-11 week after week. As of Sept. 27, boys 6-11 average ratings have advanced by 62% and delivery by 63%.

"Dude, What Would Happen has quickly become an audience favorite," said Rob Swartz, vice president original series at Cartoon Network. "We look forward to even more imaginative and hysterical experiments with our fearless 'dudes': CJ, Ali and Jackson."

The series asks such provoking questions as, "Dude, what would happen if you tied 375 helium-filled balloons to a sumo wrestler? Or, if you filled a camper with popcorn kernels and torched it with 3 flame-throwers?" Armed with an insatiable thirst for answers and with unlimited access to anything and everything, CJ Marigo, Ali Sepasyar and Jackson Rogow ask these kinds of questions each week. The sky's the limit for these three!
