Charles Gibson To Anchor "WORLD NEWS" From Boston On Monday, June 8, 2009
While in Boston, Gibson will visit Fenway Park to see how this iconic stadium is thriving even in these troubled times. While some teams have traded in older stadiums for newer, flashier ones (and ticket prices to match), the Red Sox decided to freeze ticket prices and stay in the same stadium they've called home since 1912. The result? Though ticket sales are off by more than 5% across the league - and numbers far worse in some cities -- Fenway Park has maintained its nearly six-year sellout streak. Gibson will interview Red Sox chairman Tom Werner and examine what businesses beyond baseball can learn from their approach.
"World News with Charles Gibson" airs at 6:30 p.m., ET on WCVB-TV in Boston. Jon Banner is the executive producer of the broadcast.
