E! Presents The Fifth Annual "SOUP AWARDS" Hosted By Joel McHale On Friday April 1st At 10 PM ET/PT
Just when you thought award season was finally over, funnyman Joel McHale is ready to hand out the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry: "The Soup Awards." In this special one-hour episode, appropriately premiering on April Fool's Day, McHale honors the funniest, most outrageous and jaw-dropping TV moments that have dumbfounded audiences this year and provided "The Soup" with endless amounts of material to mock on a weekly basis.
Currently scheduled to appear on the show are Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men"), NeNe Leakes ("Real Housewives of Atlanta"), talk show diva Wendy Williams ("Dancing with the Stars"), RuPaul and many more. Joined by his celebrity guest entourage, McHale will pay tribute to the best-of-the-worst television moments by awarding unintentionally hilarious people with the coveted award. Get ready for the most entertaining award show of the season commemorating accomplishments no other awards show would dare to celebrate including "Best Nonsensical Phrase," "Finest Psychological Problem that is Now a TV Series Award" and "The Uncomfortablest Date Award." The fifth annual "The Soup Awards" premieres Friday, April 1st at 10pm ET/PT only on E!
Scheduled to join Joel McHale in presenting the Soup Awards to worthy pop culture icons are Danny Pudi & Jim Rash ("Community"), Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Alison Brie (SCRE4M and "Community"), 80's king-of-the-nerds Anthony Michael Hall, Kate Flannery ("The Office") and many more! Not scheduled to appear, but more than welcome if they aren't doing anything: The Black Eyed Peas! Accolades will be given for the "Outstanding Meltdown Award" as well as the impressive "Best Waterworks Non-Sexual Award."
Viewers will be anxious to find out who wins the "Best Performance by a Celebrity in a Hate Filled Rant" and will fist pump to the high heavens when the "Award for Best Description of a Mustache by Somebody who Really, Really Wants to be a Professional Wrestler" is handed out. "The Million Matchmaker's" millionairess Robin Kassner and her dream man/plumber Luke Morganstern will be present to accept their "Soup Award" and will be joined by several surprise celebrity honorees.
