Producers of SportsNation presented by Toyota came up with a terrific year-ending edition of the show - Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 4 p.m. ET and midnight on ESPN2. The show will take a look back at Weird Web Stories and count down to the best Weird Web Story of the year. But the producers couldn't stop there. No, no. Because Wednesday's edition will be a showdown, SN co-creators Jamie Horowitz and Kevin Wildes asked themselves, "What's the best showdown of all time?" And then they answered themselves. "Why, Karate Kid, of course."
Therefore, SportsNation co-hosts Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle will appear Wednesday as Daniel Larussa and Johnny Lawrence, respectively, and will moderate SportsNation's "All Valley Video Championship" with Studio B decked out as a dojo, much like the one in the famous 1984 movie starring Ralph Macchio.
The year-ending show, which will also Power Rank the top SportsNation moments of 2009, will re-air roughly a dozen times through Jan. 1 on ESPN2, and Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 10 p.m. on ESPN
