Fox Reality Channel's Most Successful Original Series "Solitary" is Back for a 3rd Season

Aug 15, 2008 - 8:18:00 AM

ShineReveille International joins as the Distribution Partner to License the Format Worldwide

Fox Reality Channel, the only all-reality, all-the-time television network, brings back a triumphant third season of "Solitary." Fox Reality Channel is currently in pre-production of "Solitary 3.0" with Creators and Executive Producers Andrew Golder and Lincoln Hiatt.

Fox Reality Channel has named ShineReveille International as its distribution partner to license the show's format and finished episodes worldwide.
"SOLITARY is a perfect format for the international market as it is both completely relatable and can be managed with the precise financial model that is sought after by foreign buyers," says Chris Grant, President of ShineReveille International. "We are thrilled to make Fox Reality Channel a strategic partner given their incredible track record in creating ground breaking alternative content."

"'Solitary' and 'Solitary 2.0' were trendsetters in reality television," said Bob Boden, Fox Reality Channel Senior Vice President of Programming. "'Solitary 3.0' will push the limits of human tolerance even further and allow our viewers to go along for the wild ride while, luckily for them, watching comfortably from their homes."

Nine new participants will be subjected to far more grueling physical and psychological tests requiring extreme patience and endurance. This season promises to be the most intense series yet with a NEW twist to elevate the tension and keep viewers talking. When the experiment ends, the last person standing walks away with a cash prize of $50,000 and this season's bragging rights.

The "Solitary" franchise is the most successful Fox Reality Channel original, drawing praise from viewers and critics alike. Without a doubt, the concept of "Solitary" stepped above and beyond the traditional reality-show-box and will translate easily in overseas markets. Prior seasons named "Solitary" one of the ten-most-downloaded series in terms of both season purchases and individual episode purchases during its first week in the iTunes store.

"Solitary 3.0" is executive produced and co-created by Emmy-Award Recipient Andrew Golder ("Identity," "World Series of Blackjack," "Win Ben Stein's Money") and Lincoln Hiatt ("Unan1mous").
