G4's "ATTACK OF THE SHOW!" Exclusively Unveils The Nominees For The 14th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards Live On January 19th

Jan 19, 2011 - 6:51:26 PM

Additionally, G4 and G4tv.com Provide Unprecedented Coverage of The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences'  Most Prestigious Week in Gaming

G4's "Attack of the Show!," the go-to show for a daily trip to the digital water cooler, has teamed up with The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) to exclusively reveal the nominees for the 2011 International Achievement Awards (IAAs). During the live show, host Kevin Pereira, co-host Candace Bailey and X-Play's Morgan Webb will announce the finalists competing to be named the best-of-the-best in gaming as voted by the AIAS peer panels. Immediately following the reveal on the live show, fans can log onto G4tv.com/DICE for a full list of the IAA nominees.

The IAAs are the only awards show voted on by the game industry's most experienced and talented men and women who are experts in their chosen fields, making it the gaming industry's highest form of recognition. "Attack of the Show!" will announce IAAs nominees live tonight, January 19, 2011, at 7pm ET / PT.

In addition to the nominee announcement, G4's X-Play and G4tv.com will give fans an exclusive front row ticket to the 14th Annual International Achievement Awards hosted by comedian (and gaming enthusiast) Jay Mohr. G4tv.com delivers an exclusive live webcast of the awards on February 10th at 7:30pm PT / 10:30pm ET. Then viewers will be able to tune in and watch a one-hour IAA special on February 12th at 4pm featuring G4's X-Play team of Adam Sessler, Morgan Web, Blair Herter and Kristin Adams. Kristin will be working double duty as she also hosts Red Carpet interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the show.

"The prestige of the Interactive Academy's awards perfectly compliments the highly regarded content available on the G4 network," said Neal Tiles, President, G4. "In addition to our exclusive webcast and one-hour broadcast special of the IAAs, we will deliver the most on-air and online coverage of the illustrious week of events put on by the AIAS."

G4tv.com will feature unparalleled coverage of the D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Summit sessions throughout the week of February 8th including the biggest names in game development and production. This "who's who" of the industry includes Hall of Fame award recipients Dr. Greg Zeschuk and Dr. Ray Muzyka of BioWare, Matthew Johnston from PopCap and Jade Raymond from Ubisoft Montreal to name a few.

G4tv.com will also cover the Indie Game Challenge hosted by G4's very own X-Play host Adam Sessler. These awards honor aspiring non-professional and professional game developers who have showcased their skills in competition and now have the opportunity break into the game business

"We at the Academy are eagerly anticipating the big reveal on G4's "Attack of the Show!" for the Interactive Achievement Award finalists," said Martin Rae, president, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. "This has really been an impressive year for games.  There has been an unprecedented amount of creative talent that has been displayed, and we're looking forward to recognizing the achievements of our industry."
