MYTHBUSTERS uses science to determine the truth behind urban legends. Using scientific method and plain old-fashioned curiosity and ingenuity, the MYTHBUSTERS test myths both widely-known and obscure, potentially life-saving and seemingly trivial. They've tested the best way to get out of a sinking car, whether toast always falls buttered-side down, if a bunch of balloons could actually carry you away, and much more.
Offering a unique, offbeat and often-explosive look at science, MYTHBUSTERS is hosted by Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, and build team members Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara. The team's combined experience in animatronics, robotics, model building and prototyping, along with their pure, gleeful passion for exploration and experimentation, arm them with the drive and ability to create and build anything they need to test a myth.
Called "the best science program on television," MYTHBUSTERS is widely credited with making science cool again. Airing on Discovery Channel since October 2003, the series has challenged over 300 myths to date.
