Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse And Travie Mccoy Featuring Bruno Mars To Rock The Stage At The 2010 VH1 DO SOMETHING AWARDS

Jane Lynch to Host the Live Telecast of The 2010 VH1 Do Something Awards on July 19, 2010 at 9PM EST on VH1, Honoring Five Nominees for their Commitment to Social Change
 
DoSomething.org and VH1 announced that Natasha Bedingfield, Lifehouse and Travie McCoy featuring special guest, Bruno Mars, will perform as part of the star-studded 2010 VH1 Do Something Awards.  Hosted by "Glee" star Jane Lynch, the ceremony will celebrate a new generation of do-ers and world changers by honoring five young people for their commitment to social change.  

The telecast will broadcast LIVE from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Monday, VH1 on July 19, 2010 at 9PM EST.  The Do Something Awards are sponsored by: The Pepsi Refresh Project, Clean & Clear® Skincare, Sharpie® and PUR.

Natasha Bedingfield has sold more than 10 million singles and albums worldwide and has had five top 10 U.K. singles and 4 top ten U.S. singles. Her 2006 U.S. debut came with the No. 1 single, "These Words." Later that year, "Unwritten" became the most- played song on mainstream American radio.  Her success continued in 2008/2009 with her sophomore album "Pocketful of Sunshine."  It included the platinum hit "Love Like This" and the title track went on to sell nearly 3 million singles on iTunes in the U.S.  "Unwritten" received a Grammy Award Nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.  Natasha's most recent single "Touch," off of her forthcoming album due out in the fall, is available on iTunes.

Based in Los Angeles, Lifehouse's impressive career spans over 10 years. Their multi-platinum 2000 debut, No Name Face, produced "Hanging by a Moment," a  No. 1 alternative hit which crossed over to become Top 40's Most Played Song of 2001, while 2002's "Stanley Climbfall" solidified the band as a touring force. Their 2005 self-titled platinum effort yielded "You and Me," a giant hit ballad that set a record by spending more than 60 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.  2007's Who We Are included the hits "First Time," "Whatever It Takes" and  "Broken," which combined sold over 3 million digital downloads. Currently on tour with Daughtry, Lifehouse is out promoting their fifth studio album Smoke &  Mirrors which includes first single "Halfway Gone," the No. 2 most played song at Hot AC radio this year.  Their current single "All In" is charging up the charts in a matter of just a few weeks.  To date Lifehouse has sold over 5 million albums.

Gym Class Heroes frontman and vocalist Travie McCoy will perform the hit single "Billionaire," featuring recording artist Bruno Mars. "Billionaire" is the lead single from Travie's debut solo album Lazarus, which released on June 8, 2010. Bruno was also recently featured on Atlanta rapper B.o.B.'s number one single, "Nothin' On You." Bruno's forthcoming debut album will be released this September.

Other categories honor influential celebrities, musicians, comedians, and athletes, inspiring films and television shows, and social media initiative. All voting for these categories can be done by the public at DoSomething.VH1.com until July 18 at midnight.
