Nickelodeon's iCarly Leads Trio of New Hits to Record-Breaking Levels

Jun 7, 2010 - 3:25:49 PM

iCarly's 'iPsycho' on Friday Night Lands 7.5 million Total Viewers, Posts Triple-Digit Gains in all Kid Demos Victorious Claims Series Best with Almost 6 Million Total Viewers; Big Time Rush Marks Highest-Rated Episode since Launch, with 4.7 Million Viewers P2+

Nickelodeon's hit live-action trio -- iCarly, Victorious and Big Time Rush -- landed record-breaking ratings on Friday night. A brand-new hour-long iCarly TV movie, "iPsycho" (June 4, 8 p.m. ET/PT), drew 7.5 million total viewers -- ranking as basic cable's top entertainment telecast quarter to date. A new episode of Victorious, "Robarazzi," at 9:00 p.m., set a series record, drawing almost 6 million total viewers. Big Time Rush also posted a record-setting performance with "Big Time Dance" (9:30 p.m. ET/PT), scoring its highest-rated performance with total viewers (4.7 million) since its launch (1/18/10).

iCarly's iPsycho's premiere posted triple-digit gains over last year's like time period, averaging 11.3/4.1 million K2-11 (+208%), 15.0/3.2 million K6-11 (+320%), 13.1/2.8 million T9-14 (+440%) and 7.5 million total viewers (+218%). The TV movie finds Carly, Sam and Freddie trapped in the basement of their shy, lonely super fan Nora, after they do a special iCarly webcast to get her classmates to come over to her house to celebrate her birthday she decides they can't leave. They trick Nora into sending a secret message to Gibby, which they hope he will decode and save the day.

Victorious' "Robarazzi" kept the momentum going by scoring high triple-digit gains against last year's like time period and directly scheduled competition, averaging a 9.2/3.3 million K2-11 (+112%), 12.0/2.6 million K6-11 (+165%), 10.2/2.2 million T9-14 (+260%) and 5.9 million total viewers (+141%). In the new half-hour episode, Tori helps Robbie hang on to his blog, which is deemed too boring by suggesting he capture videos of the students' everyday lives to help increase traffic. After Robbie's popularity soars from the TMZ-style videos he posts of his friends, Tori realizes she's created a monster.

Big Time Rush's "Big Time Dance" rounded out Nick's winning Friday night with double- and triple-digit gains, averaging a 7.4/2.6 million K2-11 (+69%), 9.7/2.1 million K6-11 (+113%), 8.2/1.8 million T9-14 (+188%) and 4.7 million (+91% ). The half-hour episode followed the Big Time Rush boys on their last day of school. After volunteering to organize the first Palm Woods school dance, they have one day to secure the ideal location, find the perfect dates and nail their first performance in front of an audience.
