Oxygen Media Bolsters Its Bicoastal Production And Development Department
Oxygen Media made two key executive appointments to its bicoastal production and development department. Teri Kennedy has been appointed Vice President, Current Production and David Gross has joined as Vice President, Development. Kennedy will be based in New York while Gross will join the network's west coast office. Oxygen's development and production team reports to Amy Introcaso-Davis, SVP, Production and Development.
"We've tapped some tremendous talent to help bring Oxygen to the next level," said Introcaso-Davis, "2011 is a big and ambitious year for us, and both Teri and David are seasoned, talented professionals. They bring innovation and passion to an ever-expanding line-up and team."
Kennedy joins Oxygen with over 15 years of production experience including all genres of non-scripted and reality based programming. She is an Emmy-award winning producer of "Survivor" and other producer credits include seasons of "The Real World," "Making the Band," "Dating in the Dark" and "Shear Genius." Gross held development positions at networks including MTV and Lifetime and the William Morris Agency before joining Tijuana Entertainment. At Lifetime he supervised the development and production of series such as "DietTribe" and "On the Road With Austin & Santino" and while at MTV he led development on such hits as "A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila," "Parental Control," "Next" and "From G's To Gents." Kennedy will report directly to Introcaso-Davis while Gross will report to Cori Abraham, SVP, Development, who is based in Los Angeles.
Said Abraham, "David is among the best in the business. he joins the team having developed some of the most provocative reality programming on television. I'm thrilled to have him on board with us!"
These appointments bolster an already strong production team which includes recent hires Stephanie Steele, Director, Production and Jennifer McGovern, Director, Development and Production. Steele and McGovern are based on the West Coast. Since joining Oxygen, both have played pivotal roles in current and upcoming programming. Steele oversaw production on "The World According to Paris," featuring actress, socialite and entrepreneur Paris Hilton and is currently shepherding the second season of fantasy hair competition series "Hair Battle Spectacular." McGovern supervises the "The Glee Project" which is a reality competition spinoff of megahit "Glee," and the upcoming "Bachelorette Party: Las Vegas," a look at over-the-top bachelorette parties.
