"Top Chef: The Tour" Begins 20-City Tour Among Activities In New Orleans May 18-20

NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media companies, has announced plans to  kick-off "Top Chef: The Tour" in New Orleans from Sunday, May 18 through Tuesday, May 20, 2008.

Select guests will get a sneak peek of "Top Chef: The Tour," a 20-city promotional tour for fans and cable affiliates that begins its journey at The Cable Show and features a cooking experience that replicates the challenges from the Emmy Award-nominated series. Season two's Josie Smith-Malave and season three's Lia Bardeen will host special guests in a customized "Top Chef"18-wheeler semi-truck, which will then travel to markets for cooking demonstrations open to the public on city stops that include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Detroit and Denver. Fans and cable affiliates will get a first-hand look at what it takes to be a top chef as they learn gourmet tips and show secrets. At The Cable Show, the truck will be parked in the Sugar Mill parking lot across from Hall C of the Morial Convention Center on Monday, May 19.
