Viewers Can Submit Outrageous, Caught-on-Camera Moments for a Chance at Cash and to be on truTV
truTV and Dailymotion, one of the world's largest video entertainment sites, have launched the truTV "Wanna Be on TV?" Video Challenge. The challenge invites viewers to upload their original videos of outrageous, embarrassing and bizarre caught-on-camera moments to Dailymotion for a chance to be featured on truTV and receive $100 per selected video.
To participate, viewers simply upload videos at http://www.dailymotion.com/sas/truTVchallenge. There is no limit on the number of videos that can be submitted or selected from each user. truTV will include the best videos in the "Wanna Be on TV?" online-only playlist, and some of the most entertaining submissions could air on truTV as part of a clip-driven, original TV series. Submitters whose videos are selected to air on truTV will also be given $100.
"Dailymotion users have the funniest stories to tell," said Roland Hamilton, general manager of Dailymotion US. "We're delighted to give Dailymotion users the opportunity to reach a television audience and to reward our users in the process."
"truTV viewers love to watch outrageous, real moments," said Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of truTV. "If you've got the goods, we want to put you on air."
